Job Summary
Collaborates with the Clinical Transitions Coordinator and co-team leaders to assume overall responsibility for Clinical Bound courses, including learning objectives, references, course delivery, learning modalities, and evaluation methods.
Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
University Related

Promotes the mission and philosophy of FNU.

Attends curriculum, academic, department/program faculty meetings.

Participates in quarterly FNU Business meetings, the annual Fall Faculty Meeting, and Commencement as stipulated in their current FNU contract.

Provide service to the University through activities such as involvement in FNU shared governance (e.g., committees, workgroups), FNU-sponsored activities (e.g., charity drives, community outreach activities), and/or service to the profession (e.g., presentations, professional organization committee work).

Adhere to the elements of the Culture of Caring

Course Related
Collaborates with CTC regarding Clinical Bound course development, implementation, and evaluation.

Collaborates with the CTC to design appropriate teaching strategies in the Clinical Bound courses.

Collaborate with the CTC to design course evaluation methods

Coordinates the set-up, breakdown, and cleanup of the skills lab and/or other areas on campus.

Collaborates with the CTC to inventory and ordersupplies equipment.
-
Oversees Visiting Faculty and Clinical Bound Course Faculty during Clinical Bound.
-
Maintains currency in (areas) of expertise through clinical practice, literature review, participation in continuing education programs, etc.
Student Related
Maintains communication with the CTC regarding student-related issues.

Assigns grades and maintains student records for the clinical bound session., r.

Communicates effectively with students, demonstrating respect and professionalism.

Notifies the CTC and/or Department Chair regarding student issues affecting academic progress.
Service
Participates in course teams

Participates in standing and/or ad hoc committees of FNU. Frontier Nursing University (FNU).

Participates in professional organizations; acts as a representative of FNU in furthering nurse-midwifery and/or nurse practitioner education and/or practice.

Participates in the mentorship of other faculty members.

Provides service to the home community.
Scholarship
Participates in scholarly work through publication, grant writing, presentations, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project participation, scholarly consultation, and/or other scholarly endeavors.
Required Skills/Abilities

Strong knowledge of primary care

Organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
Doctorate in nursing required.

Must be certified in the advanced practice nurse specialty or as a nurse-midwife.

Clinical and educational experience in related APRN specialty
