The CMA unites physicians across the country, advocates for system transformation, and champions the public interest. As the organization advances its Impact 2040 strategy, the CMA is strengthening its enterprise partnerships, strategic relationships, and giving capabilities to accelerate impact for physicians, patients, and communities.<br><br>Reporting to the Executive Vice-President, Strategy & Partnerships, and President, CMA Foundation, the Vice-President, Partnerships provides enterprise-wide leadership for CMA’s strategic partnerships, alliances, and enterprise giving. A senior leader within the organization, this role is accountable for setting direction, governance, and performance of CMA’s partnerships, alliances and giving portfolio—ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and measurable outcomes.<br><br>The Vice-President stewards CMA’s external relationships across the medical, health, philanthropic, corporate, and multi‑sector ecosystems, building trust and opportunities for collective action. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Boards, elected leaders, and senior partners, this executive provides strategic counsel on partnership opportunities and emerging risks, while safeguarding CMA’s credibility, reputation, and long-term impact. The role also provides strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise giving, including through partnerships, grants, sponsorships, and other, ensuring strong governance, fiduciary accountability, and alignment with CMA’s vision and values.<br><br>The Vice-President, Partnerships leads and fosters a high‑performing, inclusive, and values‑aligned team. They guide the integration of partnerships and giving strategies across enterprise priorities, support national convenings and coalitions, and represent the CMA in high‑impact engagements with CEOs, Board directors, and senior leaders in Canada and internationally.<br><br>The ideal candidate is a seasoned senior leader with significant experience developing and leading trust-based partnerships and external relations in complex, mission‑driven environments. They bring a deep understanding of the medical and health ecosystem, strong enterprise judgment, and demonstrated ability to influence across diverse stakeholders.
