The Role We're seeking a Staff Accountant to join our remote-first finance team, reporting directly to the Controller. This role is the primary owner of our accounts payable function and plays an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including supporting the monthly close process and broader accounting activities. Core Responsibilities: <ul style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0px;"> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, and routing for approval in Bill.com; serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and payment status</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Maintain accuracy and completeness of the AP subledger</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Management of Stripe invoicing</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Support the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and recording of banking activity</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Assist with annual audit preparation by organizing and providing supporting documentation</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Collaborate with the Controller on process improvements and ad hoc projects</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Partner with internal teams to ensure proper coding and approval of expenditures in line with company policy</li> </ul> Required Qualifications: <ul style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0px;"> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">3–5 years of accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of core accounting duties</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of US GAAP and its practical application in day-to-day accounting operations</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment</li> <li style="background: white; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0px; line-height: 115%; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with NetSuite · Familiarity with AP automation tools such as Bill.com or similar platforms · Experience using Expensify or a comparable expense management tool · Background in a technology company, marketplace, or other high-growth environment Working At Peerspace The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. The actual salary amount will vary depending on the applicant's experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
