You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining backend systems, with a strong focus on large-scale crawlers and supporting data-driven and infrastructure solutions.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul><li>Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems and data products.</li><li>Build scalable, high-performance infrastructure to support data-heavy applications.</li><li>Optimize backend systems for maintainability, performance, and scalability.</li><li>Manage and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring uptime and data accuracy.</li><li>Develop and refine automated data crawling/scraping pipelines.</li><li>Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders across time zones.</li><li>Mentor junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and code quality.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.</li><li>Explore new ideas in data-driven and infrastructure-focused applications, including AI-driven solutions.</li><li>Leverage AI/ML models to streamline experimentation, advance research, and deliver production solutions.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul><li>5+ years of professional backend development experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on Python experience in production (Flask, FastAPI preferred).</li><li>Strong knowledge of Linux systems and SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).</li><li>Proven experience designing, building, and supporting backend systems from scratch.</li><li>Comfortable managing and optimizing live production environments.</li><li>Familiarity with data crawling/scraping techniques and large-scale data processing.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Nice to Have (Plus Points):</strong></p>
<ul><li>Experience with PHP in hybrid environments (LAMP/LEMP stacks).</li><li>Background in infrastructure, scaling systems, and distributed databases.</li><li>Hands-on experience with data crawling at scale.</li><li>Interest or prior work in AI/ML-driven solutions.</li><li>Solid foundation in statistics, mathematics, and machine learning.</li><li>Previous experience with tech startups or software companies.</li><li>Mentorship or leadership experience with junior developers.</li><li>Contributions to personal or open-source projects.</li></ul>
