The Role
As a Remote Enterprise Data Management Specialist, you will contribute to ExxonMobil's data governance and data quality programs, supporting the systems and processes that keep our enterprise data assets clean, well-documented, and compliant. You will work with business data owners, IT teams, and compliance stakeholders to implement data standards, monitor data quality metrics, and resolve data integrity issues across ExxonMobil's master data domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise data governance policies, standards, and data quality controls
- Monitor master data quality across key domains including vendor, asset, material, and financial master data
- Investigate and resolve data quality exceptions, working with business owners and IT teams to correct root causes
- Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and business glossary documentation for assigned data domains
- Support data migration and integration projects by performing data profiling, mapping, and quality validation
- Produce regular data quality scorecards and present findings to data stewards and governance council members
- Assist with regulatory data compliance activities including data lineage documentation and privacy impact assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise data management, data governance, or master data management roles
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and MDM platforms such as Informatica, SAP MDG, or Collibra
- Strong SQL skills for data profiling, quality analysis, and exception investigation
- Excellent documentation skills and experience maintaining technical and business process documentation
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data management, or a related field required
