This is a great opportunity for someone who has recently graduated from photography school or has 1–2 years of studio experience and is looking to gain hands-on experience in a commercial photo studio. You’ll work closely with our photographers and production team to support daily shoots—maintaining a clean and organized studio, assisting with lighting setups, helping reset or paint sets, and managing essential equipment. This role also includes light administrative tasks and provides valuable exposure to the inner workings of a professional content studio.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio throughout the day
Work with photographers to reset lighting and EQ between shoots, including moving props, backdrops, and painting surfaces as needed
Work with photographers to create and maintain equipment checklists for each shoot week
Assist with lighting setups, breakdowns, and adjustments under photographer guidance
Support photographers and production team with day-to-day shoot needs
Manage and organize equipment inventory and supplies under the supervision of the studio Production Manager.
Perform light administrative tasks (e.g., logging equipment usage, assisting with shoot schedules, updating studio records, receiving and distributing packages for the studio)
Ensure all gear is properly stored, labeled, and in working order
Uphold studio protocols at all times
Additional photography or production support on larger campaign and editorial shoots as needed.
Requirements
Recent graduate of a photography or visual media program OR 1–2 years of experience in a photo studio environment
Strong interest in photography, lighting, and e-commerce production
Basic understanding of studio lighting and grip equipment (Strobes, modifiers, C-stands, etc.)
Comfortable with physical tasks—must be able to lift 50lbs and reset photoshoot sets
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a good problem solver
Strong work ethic and a positive, team-player attitude
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced photographers and producers, this position will have room for growth into either field.
