The Role We're looking for an IT Administrator to own our endpoint security and IT governance layer. This is a foundational hire: you'll be the first person in this role, setting up systems from scratch and establishing the practices that will protect our people, devices, and data as the company grows. You'll work closely with our Platform & DevOps Engineer (who owns the cloud and infrastructure layer) and report to the Head of Technology. While the DevOps role focuses on hardening our systems, your focus is on the human and device layer: making sure the right people have the right access, our devices are managed and protected, and our team knows how to stay safe. This role can be based in any location within South East Asia. Key Responsibilities Endpoint and Device Management <ul> <li>Deploy and manage our MDM solution across all company and property-level devices</li> <li>Define and enforce device policies: encryption, screen lock, app restrictions, OS update compliance</li> <li>Maintain remote wipe and device recovery capability for lost or compromised machines</li> <li>Own device lifecycle management: provisioning, tracking, and decommissioning</li> <li>Support hostel staff with device-related issues across multiple properties</li> </ul> IT Security and Governance <ul> <li>Implement and manage security/attack monitoring across the organisation for endpoint protection and IT security governance</li> <li>Maintain Google Workspace: user provisioning, offboarding, group management, and security settings</li> <li>Own third-party SaaS access control: who has access to what, and making sure ex-employees are removed promptly</li> <li>Design and deliver security awareness training for staff across properties</li> <li>Monitor for suspicious activity and respond to endpoint-level security incidents</li> <li>Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all devices, software licences, and user accounts</li> </ul> IT Support & Operations <ul> <li>Act as the first point of contact for IT helpdesk requests from the team</li> <li>Document IT processes, onboarding/offboarding checklists, and access policies</li> <li>Manage software licences and vendor relationships for IT tooling</li> <li>Support the Head of Technology in building scalable IT operations as the company grows</li> </ul> What We Are Looking For Must Have <ul> <li>2–4 years of experience in an IT Administrator, IT Support, or Systems Administrator role</li> <li>Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Hexnode, Jamf, Intune, or equivalent)</li> <li>Experience with IT security governance platforms</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace administration</li> <li>Experience managing user access and SaaS application governance</li> <li>Familiarity with endpoint security concepts: device encryption, policy enforcement, threat detection</li> <li>Excellent documentation habits</li> <li>Strong communication skills; comfortable supporting non-technical staff across multiple locations</li> </ul> Nice to Have <ul> <li>Exposure to security awareness training programmes</li> <li>Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar security frameworks</li> <li>Experience working in a multi-site or hospitality/travel environment</li> <li>Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automating repetitive IT tasks</li> <li>Experience supporting a remote-first or distributed team</li> </ul> Why You’ll Love It Here <ul> <li>Work with an international team of passionate, purpose-driven people.</li> <li>Be part of a fast-growing global travel brand with a social impact mission.</li> <li>Enjoy travel perks across our hostels and the chance to see your ideas come to life.</li> <li>Flexible work setup and a culture that values creativity, adventure, and community.</li> </ul>
