<strong>Summary:</strong> The Graphics Design & Multimedia Intern supports the Communications Team with graphic design and light video editing across social media, branded collateral, webinars, and other content initiatives for a national public health organization. It requires proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite with the ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, lean creative environment.<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Remote<br><br><strong>Undergraduate rate:</strong> $20.00 per hour<br><br><strong>Graduate rate:</strong> $23.00 per hour<br><br><strong>Duration & Hours: </strong>3 months working 25 hours per week<br><br><strong>Principal Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Designs social media graphics, promotional assets, and digital collateral aligned with organizational brand standards</li><li>Creates and adapts materials for events, infographics, reports, and presentation decks across multiple platforms and formats</li><li>Performs light video editing and creation for social media clips, webinar highlight reels, and long-form content including captions, lower thirds, and branded motion elements</li><li>Assists with organizing raw footage and exporting deliverables in platform-specific formats</li><li>Participates in creative check-ins and project reviews with the Director of Content Development</li><li>Ensures graphic and digital assets meet 508 compliance and accessibility standards prior to publication</li><li>Develops and updates branded templates for recurring communications needs such as social media, presentations, and event materials<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Working towards a bachelor's degree in areas such as Graphic Design, Visual Media or Communications</li><li>Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar platforms, with the ability to produce polished, publish-ready content including captions, transitions, and branded graphics</li><li>Knowledge of After Effects or basic motion graphics a plus</li><li>Strong communication skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach</li><li>Ability to maintain quality and professionalism under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Basic awareness of 508 compliance and accessibility standards as they apply to digital content and design assets<br><br></li></ul><strong>About Us: </strong>ASTHO is the national nonprofit organization representing the public health agencies of the United States, the U.S. territories and Freely Associated States, and the District of Columbia, as well as the more than 100,000 public health professionals these agencies employ.
