## Key Role Overview This position is a table games dealer role responsible for dealing assigned casino games, providing an entertaining and courteous experience for guests, and generating revenue for the department. New hires attend dealer school (paid at minimum wage during school) and receive additional on-the-job training for other games as available. ## What are the Key Responsibilities? - Responsible for dealing assigned casino games to provide a courteous and entertaining experience for guests and generate revenue for the department. - Provide game instructions to guests when requested or as assigned to encourage game activity. - Sponsor and train new dealers as needed to provide adequate on-the-job training. - Provide game protection by maintaining visual contact of guests and the game layout. - Initiate courteous and friendly conversation with guests and stay informed on property and departmental promotions and events. - Maintain a professional attitude and work well with others. ## What are the Required Qualifications? - High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain a Missouri Gaming License. - Successful completion of a certified Dealer School (note: pay during dealer school is minimum wage). - Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to communicate clearly and tactfully. - Ability to count currency and perform basic mathematical operations (addition and subtraction) accurately. - Able to stand for extended periods of time and able to work any day of the week and any shift, including nights/overnights, weekends and holidays. - Present a well-groomed appearance and uphold the highest level of integrity required by a regulated business. - Must be able to deal all games for which certified. ## What are the Preferred Qualifications? - Willingness to learn additional games; additional training is offered later for Craps, Mini Bac, Pai Gow and Roulette. ## Compensation & Benefits - Approximately $55,000 per year. - Pay during dealer school is minimum wage. - Employer states "amazing and affordable benefits." ## Additional Information - Location: 1 Riverboat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64116. - New hire orientation will be February 3rd and 4th. - Must be able to work nights/overnights, weekends and holidays. - Work environment includes exposure to second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust; must be able to tolerate these conditions. - Physical requirements include ability to bend, twist, turn, push, pull and lift/carry a minimum of 25 lbs above/below the shoulders, and stand for prolonged periods or entire shifts. - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
